Overview¶
After Ovain's outburst at the briefing, Colonel Sparago leaves to call the Secret Service. At the children's event the next morning, the Pure Human Martial Artists are mixed in among its agents, apparently deputized to help protect the president. They had expected the service to shoot the other champions on sight. (Philosopher's Fist)
History¶
When Ovain attacks and Derk prepares another jump, Mirabeth raises a force field around herself and the president. The Secret Service has her move the field, herself and the president into one of the safe rooms, where she waits several hours before the state of emergency is called off. About eighteen hours of debriefing follow. (Philosopher's Fist)
