Description¶
Harrison is polite, apologetic and bad at crime. He wears a holographic snap bracelet, carries a backpack of rolling papers, abysmal weed, textbooks and dog-eared Goosebumps books (Welcome to Dead House, Monster Blood, Stay Out of the Basement), and wants to impress a girl (Walkers 04).
History¶
While the team guards the guest house against the goose, the Biz spots a glint near the barn. Kurt and Huell enter and, with a Read a Bad Situation roll (9), find two extremely stoned teenagers hiding behind equipment; the glint was the snap bracelet (Walkers 04).
The party plays rough FBI ("decontamination protocol," a flashlight in the eyes). Walt Murphy recognizes Harrison, whom he has not seen since the boy was about seven. Harrison explains the dare: spend an hour on the ranch looking for ghosts or aliens. He says his school has about 60 students from the whole county and an eye-watering smell this semester that students blame on sewage or a dead thing in the air conditioning. Kurt connects the smell to the town's odd-tasting water. He also describes the school's "virginity anthem," sung to the tune of "We Are the Champions"; the Biz makes him sing part of it at gunpoint until Rita stops it (Walkers 04). See Ballard High School and Ballard water contamination.
His silent friend gives his name as Marshall Crichton and will not say why he came. Their weed comes from Chuck, a friend of Harrison's brother, for $25. At the guest house Kurt takes their weed and returns good weed; a Manipulate Someone roll (10) frightens Harrison into taking it. The boys bike off from the front gate (Walkers 04).
Trivia¶
- Walt's reaction: "You guys are the weirdest fucking cops I've ever met."
- Marshall Crichton's one line: "We're the fucking worst at crime." (Walkers 04)
