Overview¶
A Fox 5 van and camera crew wait in the parking lot of the Spud Hut corporate plant when the task force arrives. The crew is there over the truck accident and the Clinton surveillance story, which a state police press conference had made public (Appalachia 08). See Georgia State Police and Clinton Surveillance Scandal.
History¶
Kurt's plan was for the team to enter the plant disguised as reporters, with the sheriff as escort, while Andrew wore a borrowed deputy's uniform. The Fox 5 crew immediately recognizes "Andrew Howard with the FBI", declares everyone an FBI agent, and a reporter asks Andrew on live TV about the "Bill Clinton wiretap" and whether it is "the next Watergate". Andrew says "Nothing," then "Thank you for your time," and power-walks to the door. At the locked door, once the receptionist has let them in, he turns back and says sweatily, "Thank you for your time again". Andre says the clip of that second "Thank you for your time" plays on the news about every ten minutes for the rest of the day (Appalachia 08).
The sheriff keeps the reporters outside, and the receptionist locks the door behind the team. Andrew's main worry afterward is the next phone call from Big Bill (Appalachia 08).
Trivia¶
The players riff on the clip: they joke that remixes of "Thank you for your time" would become a trip-hop or techno track (Appalachia 08).
