The island across the bay¶
The island across the bay is the wealthy part of Marblehead, home to Castle Rock and a bird sanctuary, reached by a bridge that floods during the storm; Arnold Weathers lives there.

Description¶
In Summer Service 01, Kurt asks a local about the island he can see across the water. The local replies that it is not really an island, since a highway connects it to town, and Dante jokes that it is a "man-made peninsula". It is the nice part of town, with Castle Rock (worth seeing for tourists), lobster fishing boats and a bird sanctuary (Summer Service 01).
By Summer Service 05 the connection is a bridge that the storm has all but washed out: wind whips the ocean across the pavement, and cars are up to mid-wheel in seawater for much of the crossing. The homes beyond are rich, with high walls and privacy (Summer Service 05).

History of events there¶
Summer Service 05¶
Summer Service 05 is the only visit. During the storm, Madeline Weathers leads the team in a Volkswagen Beetle across the flooded bridge. Huell drives the team's car, shakes a tail by driving through the storm, narrowly misses an elderly couple's station wagon and hydroplanes across a one-way street. On the island they find Arnold's house padlocked and silent, and later destroy him and the infected dog Puddles there (Summer Service 05).
