Derk's Flag belongs to the non-canon one-shot Philosopher's Fist 3.J/2: Unchainable, not to the main campaign.
Derk's Flag is the cape-sized butcher-paper flag that Derk draws on the floor of the Public Library for the Flag Contest.

Description¶
A tattered butcher-paper flag, large enough to be worn as a cape, marked with bugs and wet handprints and knee prints. It shows scorpions (the president reads them as "giant scorpions attacking the earth"), the stars as seen from space, a corgi-like dog that is the president and, added later, hot dogs in taco shells. The taco dogs are better drawn than anything else on it, but the composition is incoherent, and laying the colors over the black of space makes them look odd. Derk says he should have drawn only hot dogs. (Philosopher's Fist)
History¶
Derk draws it over about an hour and a half in the library's children's room (a Superior roll of 6) while parked among toddlers. Mirabeth tears it off the floor as she rescues him. Outside the community center she shows it to Derk as his art and has him draw something smaller. He never draws a better flag, and he simply adds the taco dogs to the same one. (Philosopher's Fist)
At the Presidential Event Hall, Derk presents it to the werewolf president, who praises the hot dog as a patriotic food and the taco shell as "multiculturalism," learns that the dog is himself, and promises "real serious consideration." He gives Derk a presidential-seal sticker to "show that you met me." During the fight, Derk stands up for the president against Ovain with "Hey, be nice to him! He liked my flag!" Trivia¶
- Andre remarked that Derk "for sure just drew a corgi," the only kind of dog he knows. Matt agreed ("Oh, that's a corgi, I promise"), and Andre said he had not yet seen Matt's flags on the table's Discord.
