History¶
When Kurt, Andrew, the Biz and Huell take cover next to the squad car after the young officer who drove them is shot, one of the cops asks Andrew whether they are the FBI. On hearing the answer he says, "I officially surrender operational command of this hostage situation to the FBI." Andrew's reaction is "Oh, maybe don't do that." (Roulet Estate 03)
Todd then briefs the agents:
- When he and his partner answered the call about the agents' stolen car, they went inside and found the gunman, who appeared to be an alien, holding everyone at gunpoint on the floor. He was naked and shouting in American English.
- The gunman wants a fueled car with no tracking devices (specifically a Range Rover), no more police cars in the lot, and every cop to come inside within ten minutes, naked and with handcuffs, so he can cuff them to shopping carts. Otherwise he will start killing hostages.
- He shot a pharmacist, Todd thinks non-fatally, and was seen taking pills.
- He claimed to have a rocket-propelled grenade. Todd did not see it, but did see a flamethrower, a machine gun and a big old-fashioned wooden rifle (see Mosin-Nagant).
- The building has wraparound windows and a door on the corner set at about 45 degrees. A service entrance at the back is kept locked by someone named Markeith.
More police cars are on the way but delayed by snow. (Roulet Estate 03)
Todd asks Kurt whether they want to sneak in and take the gunman down, and Kurt asks him about the pharmacy's other entrances. After that, the agents run the siege themselves. See The Roulet Intruder. (Roulet Estate 03)
