History¶
The Summer Service¶
Kurt Larson phones the number listed for "Lana Scott" from the missing scientists' contact list, reasoning that an individual is more likely a recent arrival than a long-rooted family. Irene answers "Scott Insurance, we do boats and cars." She says her daughter was on a ventilator for a couple of hours at the big hospital in Salem and is back at school, and that the scientists drew blood, promised follow-up and vanished. Kurt claims to be an FBI consultant, and Irene asks if it is terrorism (Summer Service 01).
At the Scott home, the sign reads "Scott Insurance, Boat Specialty." Irene asks to see ID. She and her husband Douglas Scott, who says he hoped to hear back from the scientists, describe Lena's collapse on the beach the day after the blast (Summer Service 01).
At the lighthouse, Irene recognizes Andrew Howard ("Mr. Howard, right?") and asks whether the team is reopening the lighthouse. After the team's warnings, the family flees (Summer Service 03).
