Minor monsters and entities: Radford (The Radford Horror and The Radford Horrors)¶
This page lists the minor creatures and false alarms from the two Radford arcs, along with one creature borrowed from an earlier case.
Bedbugs¶
The Pay n' Stay's bedbug infestation is a comic recurring menace that leaves Huell covered in welts and sends the team back to the hospital, scratching. Andre notes that the bugs die when heated to 130 degrees Fahrenheit for ten minutes. The infestation also provokes the diner waitress to threaten arson for the insurance money. (Radford Horror 04, Radford Horror 05, Radford Horror 06) See Pay n' Stay and Radford ER.
Coyotes¶
A pack of coyotes devours the remains of the burned NSA man, and Andre describes them as "mildly high". They scamper off into the woods when Kurt approaches. Later, the coroner blames post-mortem coyotes for the damage to Amanda Lucky's face, though he admits it is a lot of damage for so short a time, and Dante doubts they caused most of it. (Radford Horror 04, Radford Horror 05) See Agent Murphy and Dr. Harvey Mauden.
Hairy men in fishing vests¶
Two extremely hairy men in fishing vests wave at the group as they drive past at the Sportsman RV Campground. They appear to be ordinary campers, and nothing further comes of them. (Radford Horrors 02) See Sportsman RV Campground.
Humanzees¶
The "humanzees" are the gold-mining ape-men of the Appalachia case, mentioned in passing in the Radford Horrors arc. When the team tells Webster about the earlier case, the players argue over whether Bigfoot and the humanzees are the same thing, and Ezra remarks that Webster's career is flashing before his eyes. Dante recalls it as a humanzee mining operation run through a Spud Hut. They are covered in full under Ape-Men. (Radford Horrors 04)
