Primenthol "Prim" Greengrass

Primenthol "Prim" Greengrass is the sister of the missing Covenant member Willow Greengrass, a podiatrist and former member of the Covenant who had been staying in Dahlonega, Georgia for about a month when Willow disappeared.

Type NPC
Aliases Prim; Primenthol
Affiliation Former member of The Covenant
Occupation Podiatrist
Status Alive (as of Appalachia 04)
First appearance Appalachia 01 (named in the case file)

Description

Prim has long flowing hair and wears unremarkable clothes. She is staying in room 11 of the former Best Western Hotel and Suites, which has bedbugs; she keeps bedbug traps at the foot of the bed, and there is only the one chair. She had been expecting the police (Appalachia 02).

Background

According to Prim, their mother joined the Covenant when the sisters were very young, and both girls were renamed "in the style of the group" at age three. Prim left the Covenant, went to college and became a podiatrist. Their mother died a couple of years ago, and Prim kept the name rather than changing it out of respect. She is no longer a church member and says much of the doctrine fails the "sniff test". She jokes that she got off easier than Willow, since "there's a good nickname for Primenthol" (Appalachia 02).

History

Sheriff Burke's case file lists her alongside the missing Willow, Gene Cartwright and Edward Nick. The sheriff tells the team she was already back in town before Willow disappeared, about a month earlier. Zack's Huell says he thinks she might be lying (Appalachia 01).

In Appalachia 02 the team interviews her. Zack questions her "Commander Shepard style". Willow had no enemies, suitors or outside friends, and Prim is certain Willow would have come to her. She explains that the Covenant's clay baptisms, divine meteor and visionary peach drink are mostly harmless, and calls its prophet Elijah Ray "a pretty nice guy. For a bigamist". A prophetic dream and a TV report of a shooting star led him to move the congregation to Auraria. Prim warns the team never to accept a vision quest (see Covenant Peach Preserves). She also takes Andrew into the bathroom to learn his embarrassing middle name, which stays secret at the table, and remarks that he is a feminine guy; the table piles on.

In Appalachia 04 she is only mentioned. A Covenant member, River, says Willow was upset because her sister kept trying to convince her to leave.

Trivia

  • Zack played the interview as a Commander Shepard-style questioning, and the table made paragon and renegade jokes at Prim's expense (Appalachia 02).
  • In the same episode Kurt asks the bootlegger Frotter Comstock whether he knows "a Primenthol Greengrass", when the missing woman is Willow.
