The World of Philosopher's Fist¶
Non-canon
This world belongs to the non-canon one-shot Philosopher's Fist 3.J/2: Unchainable, not to the main campaign.
The World of Philosopher's Fist is a small, low-gravity planet that is a single country under a werewolf president, and is not the alternate-1990s United States of the main campaign (compare Alternate history).

Overview¶
Andre describes the planet as significantly smaller than Earth, roughly half the size of the continental US, with roughly half a G of gravity. It is all one country, with a World Congress and a werewolf president, and the tone sits "somewhere between Japan and the US." (Philosopher's Fist)
Aliens, androids or the like attack once or twice a decade, which is why the World Martial Arts Tournament exists as a pipeline of useful superhumans. Twice in the last forty years a champion has taken over the world and killed the president, so the tournament is both a defense and a threat. (Philosopher's Fist)
The president¶
The werewolf president turns into a wolf, and society treats it as normal. Derk thinks every person in charge is a werewolf, a running confusion. (Philosopher's Fist)
Superhumans¶
Entrants fall into categories: the enormously strong, psychics, ki-blast users, wizards and pure martial artists. See The Alien Faction and Pure Human Martial Artists. Races and places named include the Gandekian (an alien race), Cantus (Derk's origin) and West City. (Philosopher's Fist)
Daily life¶
- There are no cell phones, but video phones stand on practically every corner, with a map application that shows satellite photography.
- Online dating exists, and Ovain announces that he is leaving "this planet and its Tinder."
- Social Security exists. Mirabeth says "Social Security in this country should really be looked at"; Andre, as Colonel Sparago, replies, "That is literally part of the president's platform."
- Trade names in play include Omolene horse feed, Motel 6, McDonald's and this world's equivalent of Jeopardy!
Places¶
The Capital, the Athletes' Village, the Public Library, the Presidential Event Hall and Wisukonshin; minor places are on Minor locations.
Trivia¶
Pop-culture references at the table include Hunter x Hunter, Gillian Anderson, Metal Gear, Mary Poppins, The Flintstones, Wild Kingdom and America's Got Talent. (Philosopher's Fist)
