Minor lore: Philosopher's Fist 3.J/2: Unchainable (non-canon one-shot)

Non-canon

This lore belongs only to Philosopher's Fist 3.J/2: Unchainable, a non-canon one-shot presented as an in-universe anime OVA. Nothing here is part of the main campaign's continuity.

Minor worldbuilding of the one-shot, in alphabetical order.

Cantus

Derk's place or house of origin, known only from his garbled birth name, "Dirk Half Scion of Cantus," which he himself remembers as "Derk Sauce." Mirabeth suspects "Derk" is a fragment of the real name, and Colonel Sparago grants only that it is a nickname. (Philosopher's Fist)

Gandekian

An alien race. As Derk leaves the Alien Faction, he overhears them say that he looks like a stepped-on Gandekian. (Philosopher's Fist)

Ki

Blastable body energy. At the safety briefing, Colonel Sparago asks the entrants to raise a hand if they can channel the energy of their bodies, also called ki, into concentrated blasts, one of the superhuman categories alongside the enormously strong, psychics, wizards and pure martial artists. Ovain fires white ki fire from his fingers, and Mirabeth, when Derk is unsure whether he can, says "You can definitely do that, dear. It's called a punch." (Philosopher's Fist)

The Doping Scandal

During the safety briefing an official announces that the tournament is suspended because one of the judges was found to be on steroids, and the president has ordered an investigation. Mirabeth remarks that the president "was just looking for an excuse." Derk hears the word as "asteroid" and whispers that he has been on it before. The suspension sets off Ovain's breakdown. (Philosopher's Fist)

Tinder

This world's online dating. Sparago's aide says that Ovain's online dating, begun as part of his treatment, has gone badly, and that he has been journaling about killing the president again. Ovain departs announcing that he is "leaving this planet and its Tinder." (Philosopher's Fist)
