Description¶

Eddie is a young member of the Chasers who is introduced by Sloth along with the rest of the group, which also includes Delilah, the camcorder-carrying redhead (Appalachia 01). He is talkative and likes to theorize, and Vanessa calls him "Ed" when she shoots his ideas down (Appalachia 02).

History¶

Appalachia 01¶

Eddie is among the Chasers who meet the team at their silver crop-circle trailer to explain how they triangulated Bigfoot sightings: several in town and a couple around Auraria, so the creature should be somewhere between. The group runs a bulletin board system and hands Kurt a card with its number. Kurt gives them his pager number and warns them about the religious oddballs in town (Appalachia 01).

Appalachia 02¶

When the Chasers meet the team at the rabbit-snatch area, Eddie argues that Bigfoot is feral humans, citing feral pigs, which change within a single generation once loose from a farm: people who live in the woods may transform into a wild form. Vanessa favors an undiscovered hominid. Andrew thinks the creature in the footage is a werewolf, and Sloth agrees. Eddie wants to take the footage to the local news to "build our brand" and says the group will celebrate at the Spud Hut, which is closed for the night. He has been working through the seafood spuds (Appalachia 02).

Appalachia 07¶

At the original Spud Hut, Eddie asks the counter man for the highest-protein item on the menu, and the counter man recommends the chicken parmesan spud but refuses to discuss the secret menu in front of outsiders. Eddie also sidles up to Kurt and asks what working for the CIA is like (Appalachia 07).
