Description

Cromwell is a large man who sits at the back of the room without speaking. His name plaque reads "Horace Cromwell" with "Banker" beneath it. He looks more bloated than most of the other selectmen, though less so than the mayor and the chief of police, and he moves restlessly, like someone struggling not to vomit, with his arms tense on the table (Summer Service 04). See The glow.

History

The Summer Service

At the 6:30 p.m. board meeting in the town hall, Zack (as Huell Kendrick) uses Read a Bad Situation to ask whether there are dangers the team has not noticed. Andre points out two things: the councilmen nervously eye the empty seat of Arnold Weathers, and Cromwell is restless and tense. Huell asks, "You're doing alright there, Horace?" Cromwell nods jerkily, waves the question away and says "I'm fine." Then something odd happens in his neck, so that he seems to swallow twice (Summer Service 04).

Unresolved

The episodes never explain what happened in Cromwell's throat. The infection that bloats the selectmen is later tied to the worms.
