Bigelow's recordings¶
Bigelow's recordings are the tape reels, VHS tapes and hard drives on which Robert Bigelow's staff log instrument data and camera footage from the Sherman Ranch, including the footage of the car lifting and the white ring. All of them were stolen in a single night. (Walkers 07)

Description¶
Instrument reels. In Walkers 02 Bigelow's team says it records everything onto "big tape reels." The data show many unexplained heat signatures and electromagnetic or electrical events, plus the exploded sheep, all confined to the ranch and about half a mile around, with nothing in town. Bigelow dismisses the nearby substation as unrelated and offers the party the data sets. (Walkers 02)
Camera footage. The big house has a bank of monitors fed by cameras across the ranch. The guest house is not covered, though one camera on the big house catches part of it. (Walkers 04) The ranch also has a visible-spectrum sky camera and a thermal camera. (Walkers 05)
Contents¶
- The lifted car. In Walkers 04 a staffer at the big house cues up a cassette of the night the team's rental vanished. A slightly different patch of grey seems to rise beside the house, but it would not convince anyone who was not already looking. There is no radar return, though some of the electromagnetic meters "went nuts." This is the vanishing car incident; see also Plymouth Voyager. (Walkers 04)
- The white ring. In Walkers 05 a white light wakes Bigelow, and the party finds his staff reviewing the sky camera's VHS tape in the big house. In motion it shows a very bright white ring with a slightly purple glow, oscillating and vibrating for a few seconds before dissipating. The thermal feed was whited out, and most of the ranch's electronics broke. Bigelow calls it one of the most clear-cut events they have had, with "a definite nonlinear trajectory" on many graphs, and says "We may be on the verge of making contact." He reads the ring in Black Sun terms. Kurt persuades him to set up a big ring of cameras around the party's house. (Walkers 05) See the white ring.
- Camera test. The party chains Betsy down in front of the ranch's cameras so that the footage will have something to show. (Walkers 05)
History¶
In Walkers 07, Bigelow rages that somebody "broke in and stole all our hard drives, all our tapes, all of our recordings, and three of my fucking employees." The barn has been cleared out as well, and whoever did it had keys to the whole place. The party notes that the intruder who broke into their own house also had a key. Bigelow declares "protocol blue" and has his remaining security staff arm up. (Walkers 07)
No episode says who took the recordings or what became of them. The theft happens on the same night the skinwalker faction replaces Andrew Howard, but the connection is never stated; see skinwalkers.
