OJ the stuffed alien is a 25-pound plush alien, sent to Huell as a prank by his former narcotics colleagues, which became the task force's mascot.

Description¶
OJ is an enormous 25-pound stuffed alien that must have cost several hundred dollars. The team dressed it in a tie, and Kira's contribution at the table was a little badge (Radford Horror 08).
History¶
Back at headquarters on June 15th, 1992, after the team's recovery in Radford, a courier wheeled in a crate addressed to Huell Kendrick. Inside was the plush alien with the note "Ha ha, fuck you, Huell," in the handwriting of his old coworkers from narcotics, who had evidently learned of his new assignment. Huell gave it to Andrew as the new team mascot. Diane insisted that a mascot needed a name. Kurt suggested Willie Pete, slang for white phosphorus, after a dog he claimed to have had in Vietnam; Andre floated Kevin and asked what rhymes with alien, and the team finally settled on OJ. The team propped OJ up next to their desks upstairs (Radford Horror 08).

- The naming scene includes a "what rhymes with alien" gag, and Andre remarked that "OJ the alien" has "even some assonance" (Radford Horror 08).
