Marblehead town hall¶
Marblehead town hall is the town's City Hall, the site of a student protest over the fish kill and of the second-floor selectmen's meeting room, with its eleven chairs, a Sons of Adam seal and church murals.

| Aliases | City Hall; the selectmen's meeting room |
| Region | Marblehead, Massachusetts, beside the post office |

Description¶
The post office stands next to City Hall; McManley parks his mobile-home lab there (Summer Service 03). Upstairs, the second-floor meeting room is built for the board: eleven chairs with name plaques in a circle, and on the rear wall a seal reading "Sons of Adam" showing Jesus amid parted waters (Summer Service 04). Stairs lead down to a parking lot (Summer Service 05). In the finale, the Guard officer mentions "some real weird murals in City Hall" (Summer Service 06); the episodes never show or describe them.
Notable places within¶
- The selectmen's room. The seats include "J. Evans, businessman" (Jester), the mayor, Amos Shaw, the Chief of Police and banker Horace Cromwell. The plaque of Arnold Weathers is empty, and the councilmen glance nervously at his chair (Summer Service 04).
- The steps and lot. Protest and parking area.
History of events there¶
Summer Service 03¶
Andrew walks past a protest of college students outside City Hall, chanting "No more dead fish! No fish for science!", "No Nukes" and "Close Seabrook!" On the way to pick him up, Huell tells the Biz to flick a cigarette at a protester, and it hits a college kid in the eye (Summer Service 03).
Summer Service 04¶
Jester invites the team to the 6:30 selectmen's meeting, where the dress code is formal. The team arrives in suits and finds a second-floor room with eleven chairs. The Biz sits backwards on a chair, and the chief of police refuses Kurt's request to smoke. The mayor, who preached in Shaw's place in Summer Service 03, is bloated and near-translucent, and so are the chief and several others; Shaw has begun to bloat and Cromwell looks the worst, swallowing twice when Huell asks if he is all right. Everyone in the room has the glow, including the team. When the team asks about the scientists, the mayor says they left just over a week ago and that "some of the tone of their questioning was not very well received", since they accused the town of poisoning the fish with agricultural runoff. Asked about the sickness, the board answers "Satan", and the mayor says that as "game day" nears the devil will be forced to work in the open. Dante (as Kurt) asks about the melted shoreline, and the chief of police's expression goes very still. The session ends with the party in the room with no plan, weighing arrests of the priest, the chief, or everyone (Summer Service 04). See Second coming and eschaton.
Summer Service 05¶
The meeting winds down in awkward silence and a silent man in a suit at the back unnerves everyone. Outside, in the rain, Madeline Weathers approaches Andrew in the parking lot (Summer Service 05).
Summer Service 06¶
The team describes the City Hall murals to the Guard officer as evidence of a religious terrorist group (Summer Service 06).
