Black triangular craft

The black triangular craft are silent, plain black triangles that appear over the Roosevelt community center at the climax of The Walkers in Skin, alongside crews in hazmat suits.

Type Craft / unknown operators
Aliases black triangles
Abilities Silent flight; plane-like maneuvers
Status Operators and origin never established
First appearance Walkers 09

Description

After the party reaches the rear hallway of the community center, the outside has gone deadly quiet. A fine white powder falls like snow, and a black triangular craft streaks overhead. When the party presses Howard for details, Andre describes the craft as "pretty much just a triangle," not particularly aerodynamic, with nothing like the look of a Nighthawk or a B-2 (Walkers 09).

Abilities

According to Howard, they are completely silent, and they do mostly what a plane could do. He reports seeing "a whole armada" of them while running to the community center, and one of them looked as though it had been shredded in midair by something invisible (Walkers 09).

History

When the party climbs out of the cavern and flees across the field, everyone outside is unconscious and black craft swoop overhead. Dozens of people in hazmat suits are loading up bodies as the party drives away, and Howard snaps a few dozen blurry Polaroids of the cleanup, with several indistinct black aircraft circling above. In his report over the radio, Kurt Larson states for the record that there is a cover-up they did not cause: men in hazmat suits and unidentified craft taking personnel as well as victims, after something drugged the whole area (Walkers 09).

What remains unknown

The episodes never establish who operates the craft, where they come from, or whether they are connected to the hazmat cleanup teams or to the white powder that knocked everyone out. A triangular craft also appears in The Radford Horrors; no episode connects the two.
