Dr. Lori's patient files¶

Description¶
The originals were the patient files kept in a locked filing cabinet in Dr. Lori's office. The Biz photographed them on film, which in 1992 had to be developed before anyone could read it (Radford Horror 04). The files belonged to Dr. Lawrence Lori's patients, including Amanda Lucky.
Properties¶
Developed, the photographs show that Amanda's file begins with a couple of ordinary interviews, then a Xanax prescription with notes explaining why it was prescribed. Later notes raise the dose several times with no explanation. Roughly halfway through the log, extra appointment dates appear alongside the weekly session, and near the end they taper off into several meetings marked "no show." The file says nothing about prescribing opiates. The file for the other missing woman is routine, with medical justification for everything in it, and there is no file at all for Mr. Augustine (Radford Horror 05).
The autopsy and tox screen, meanwhile, found trace amounts of Xanax and a large quantity of opiates in Amanda's blood, so there was a gap between what the files recorded and what was in her system. The team also knew that the hard copy a doctor sends to the pharmacy to validate a prescription was missing (Radford Horror 05).
History¶
The Biz broke into Lori's office to retrieve his transmitter from the vent (see the bug in Dr. Lori's vent). Using one of Kurt's stilts as a pry bar, he decided to take the back off the filing cabinet rather than damage the lock, and photographed the files on everyone known so far. His Act Under Pressure roll came up 7, so the cabinet would not go back together and Lori would eventually notice. To disguise the break-in as a junkie burglary, he stole a prescription pad, threw a brick through the window on his way out, clogged the toilet and drew on the bathroom stall with a Sharpie (Radford Horror 04).
In Radford Horror 05, Kurt rolled Preparedness and found that his travel case held a portable darkroom: a small bottle of chemicals, a red bulb and some plastic baggies, good for developing a roll in about 45 minutes. He developed the film at the Pay n' Stay (Radford Horror 05). The team then argued over theories. Kurt suggested an affair, with drugs given in exchange for sex. Andrew proposed that Lori and the pharmacist, Derek Augustine, had been working together, and that Augustine had been getting prescriptions written in Lori's name on the side before the two fell out (Radford Horror 05).
In the recap in Radford Horror 08, Andre reported that Lori and Derek Augustine had both confessed to an inappropriate sexual relationship with Amanda. Authorities also believed Augustine had broken into Lori's office, because of the feces left in the toilet (Radford Horror 08).
